Junior Junction Privacy Policy

Effective August 10, 2026

How we collect, use, share, and protect information, including children's information.

1. Introduction

Junior Junction, Inc. and its affiliates ("Junior Junction," "we," "us") operate a marketplace that helps families find and enroll in youth activities offered by independent local businesses.

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, who receives it, and the choices you have. It applies to the Junior Junction app for families, the Junior Junction Venue Partner app for activity businesses, juniorjunction.com, and related services and communications.

It does not apply to the independent activity businesses you book with. Those businesses handle information under their own privacy practices.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information you provide

All users provide account details, which include name, email address, phone number, password credentials, and a profile photo or avatar. Families also provide a home or service address or ZIP code. All users may send messages through in-app messaging and to our support team.

Families create profiles for their children, which contain the child's first name or nickname, age or date of birth, gender, an avatar image, selected activity interests, and any note the parent chooses to add for a business, such as an allergy or accommodation.

Business partners provide business name, owner or contact name, business address, phone, email, website, listing content including activity descriptions, schedules, capacity, age ranges, pricing, enrollment plans, holidays, venue location and photographs, and identity, business verification and payout details, which are collected and held by our payment processor.

2.2 Information collected automatically

We collect device and technical data, including device model, operating system and version, app version, language, time zone, unique device or installation identifiers, and crash and diagnostic logs. We collect usage data, including screens viewed, features used, searches, listings viewed, session times, and interaction events.

If you grant permission, we collect approximate or precise location to show activities near you and to display venue locations and maps. You can withdraw this permission in your device settings; discovery features will be more limited.

If you enable notifications, we collect a push notification token to deliver booking, message, cancellation, and reschedule alerts.

2.3 Information from others

Our payment processor, Stripe, Inc., provides transaction confirmations, payout status, and limited card metadata such as card brand and the last four digits. We do not collect or store full payment card numbers.

Activity businesses provide booking, attendance, and enrollment updates relating to your bookings.

3. Children's Information

This section governs how we handle information about children under 13 and is designed to align with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act.

Children do not create or hold accounts. The Junior Junction apps are directed to parents, guardians, and businesses, and we do not knowingly permit anyone under 18 to create an account.

Child profiles are created and controlled entirely by the account-holding parent or guardian. By creating a child profile, you confirm that you are that child's parent or legal guardian, or are otherwise authorized to provide the information and to consent to its use as described here.

We collect only the child information an enrollment requires: first name or nickname, age or date of birth, gender, selected interests, an avatar, and any note you choose to add for the business.

We use children's information solely to display the profile to you, to filter and recommend age-appropriate activities, to transmit a booking to the business you choose, and to support that enrollment. We do not use children's information for advertising, do not build advertising or behavioral profiles of children, do not sell or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and do not display it publicly.

Child information is shared with an activity business only when you book or enroll with that business, and only to the extent needed to deliver the activity. It is also handled by our service providers under contract.

You may review, correct, or delete a child's profile at any time in the app, or by contacting privacy@juniorjunction.com. You may refuse further collection or use of your child's information, in which case we may no longer be able to support bookings for that child. We do not condition a child's participation on providing more information than is reasonably necessary.

Businesses and other users may not use the Platform to contact a child directly. Messaging runs through the parent's account.

If we learn that a child has created an account, we delete it promptly. Contact privacy@juniorjunction.com if you believe this has occurred.

4. How We Use Information

We use personal information to create and administer accounts and child profiles; to show activities near you and match children to age-appropriate options; to process bookings, enrollments, schedules, cancellations, and reschedules; to process payments, payouts, refunds, and disputes; to enable messaging between parents and businesses, including business announcements about activities you have booked; to send transactional and service notifications you have enabled; to review, approve, and moderate listings and content; to provide customer support; to detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and safety risks and to protect children; to analyze usage in order to fix defects and improve features; to send product and marketing communications where permitted, from which you may unsubscribe at any time; and to comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.

Where the law requires a legal basis for processing, we rely on performance of a contract, our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving the Platform, your consent for precise location, push notifications, and marketing, and compliance with legal obligations.

5. We Do Not Sell Your Information

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined under United States state privacy laws. We have not done so in the preceding twelve months. This applies to all users and specifically to information about children.

6. How We Share Information

With the activity business you choose. When you book or enroll, we share what that business needs to deliver the activity: your name and contact details, your child's first name and age, relevant interests, any note you provided, and the booking details. That business then handles the information as an independent controller under its own privacy practices. Under our Business Partner Agreement, businesses must use it only to deliver and administer the booked activity, protect it, and refrain from selling it or adding families to unrelated marketing without consent.

With service providers who act on our behalf under contract and may not use information for their own purposes. These fall into the following categories: cloud hosting and database services; push notification and messaging infrastructure; payment processing and payouts, provided by Stripe, Inc.; mapping and geolocation services; email delivery and customer support tooling; and crash reporting and product analytics.

For legal and safety reasons. We may disclose information where we believe in good faith that it is necessary to comply with law, a subpoena, or a court order; to enforce our agreements; to detect or prevent fraud or security issues; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Junior Junction, our users, or the public. We report suspected child exploitation to law enforcement and, where required or appropriate, to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children.

In a business transaction, such as a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to the acquirer continuing to honor this Policy for the information transferred, and with notice where required.

With your direction or consent, for any other purpose.

Aggregated or de-identified data that cannot reasonably identify you or your child may be created and used, and we will not attempt to re-identify it.

7. Your Choices

You can view, edit, or delete your profile and your child's profile in the app. You can control push notifications by category in Account, then Notifications, and globally in your device settings. You can grant or revoke location permission in your device settings. You can unsubscribe from marketing email using the link in any marketing message. You can delete your account using Delete Account in the app or by contacting privacy@juniorjunction.com.

8. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you and learn how we use it; to correct inaccurate information; to delete your information; to receive a portable copy; to opt out of sale, sharing for targeted advertising, or certain profiling; to limit the use of sensitive personal information; to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent; and not to be discriminated against for exercising a privacy right.

To exercise these rights, email privacy@juniorjunction.com from the address on your account. We verify identity before acting and respond within the period required by applicable law, generally 45 days in the United States, extendable once where permitted. An authorized agent may submit a request with proof of authority.

If we deny a request and your jurisdiction provides an appeal right, you may appeal by replying to our decision with the word "Appeal." If you disagree with the outcome, you may contact your state attorney general.

California residents: the categories of information we collect, the sources, the purposes, and our disclosures are described in Sections 2, 4, and 6. We do not sell or share personal information, and we do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that would require a limitation right.

9. Retention

We retain account and child profile data while your account is active, and delete or de-identify it within 30 days of account deletion. We retain booking and transaction records for seven years where required for tax, accounting, dispute, and legal-defense purposes. We retain payment and payout records as required by law and by our payment processor's obligations. We retain messages for 24 months after they are sent, and thereafter delete them, except where retained for a safety, fraud, or legal matter. We retain safety, fraud, and abuse records for as long as necessary for the safety purpose, including after account deletion. Backups are purged on a routine cycle within 35 days.

10. Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and limiting employee access to a need-to-know basis. No system is perfectly secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Keep your password confidential and tell us promptly at support@juniorjunction.com if you suspect unauthorized access. Where required by law, we will notify you and the relevant regulators of a data breach affecting your information.

11. International Transfers

Junior Junction is based in the United States. Your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States and in other countries where we, our affiliates, or our service providers operate. These countries may have different data protection laws than your own. Where required, we apply appropriate safeguards to such transfers, including standard contractual clauses.

12. Third-Party Links and Services

The Platform may link to third-party sites, apps, or services, including businesses' own websites and booking pages. We do not control them and are not responsible for their privacy practices. Review their policies before providing information.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy. When we make a material change, we update the effective date and provide notice through the Platform or by email. Where a change affects how we handle children's information, we obtain renewed parental consent where the law requires it.
